Good day to all,

I want to start by thanking each of the fourteen members who volunteered and were able to assist for the Mobile Police Academy Graduation Class 59; there were more than 300 friends and family in attendance. It was a great event and a strong show of support for the new officers starting their careers.

As everyone knows it is Mardi Gras season in Mobile. We have been asked to assist again in serving lunches to the officers working the parade routes this year. If you had the privilege to serve last year, you know what a great event this is. Last year we served 565 meals on Joe Cain Day and nearly 900 on Fat Tuesday. Due to its incredibly huge success, this year our association has been asked to serve MPD on Monday, as well.

We are in need of four (4) trucks each day to be utilized to take lunches to designated roll calls, and 10-12 volunteers each day to assist in distributing the lunches.

We will meet at the Crime Prevention Office; located behind the Police Headquarters Building @ 2460 Government Blvd., at the following times:

Sunday, February 11, 2018 8 AM
Monday, February 12, 2018 8 AM, and
Tuesday, February 13, 2018 8 AM.

We should conclude the event by 12:00pm (noon) each day, and you will be able to enjoy the Mardi Gras festivities, too.

If you are available to help with this event please contact Angel Cooper at or me at Cell: 228-281-0062.

Please also mark your calendar for:
Blues, Brews, and Burgers
March 2, 2018 7pm -10pm @ Azalea Manor (downtown)
This benefit is held for the Mobile Law Enforcement foundation. There will be great live music, cold beer and fresh grilled burgers and brats. The cost of Admission is $25.00 per person, which includes two drink tickets. Space is limited.

If you would like tickets for this incredible event, please contact Cell: 251-401-7246.

We look forward to seeing you during one or more of our Mardi Gras event days. This is a wonderful way for us to show appreciation to those who serve and protect our great city; these folks work very long days during this time of year.
